Where available bronID checks electronic data sources to verify the existence of an organisation. In most of the cases, bronID checks primary electronic data sources, i.e. bronID relies on data from official government registries, stock exchanges and state repositories. Only in exceptional cases, bronID will rely on data derived from secondary data sources such as data resellers.
For an organisation to be located in an electronic data source, the following criteria must be met:
- the full name of the organisation to match the name in the electronic data source;
- the unique identification number to match the identification number in the selected electronic data source.
Once an organisation is located in an online data source, the collected data that needs to be verified in accordance with the organisation type is matched against the information from the data source.
